Described
as "one of the finest collections of Art Deco buildings in the
country", Fair Park represents the epitome of collaborative public
art that combined the talents of architects, artists and craftsmen.
Spectacular,
monumental murals painted in 1936 by Italo-American artist Carlo Ciampaglia were
painted out in 1942. The rediscovery and conservation of these important works
of art has been undertaken by the City of Dallas as part of the historical
preservation effort at Fair Park.
